Hexian is located in the East of Anhui Province with a total area of 1,412 square kilometers and a population of 650,000,administering 10 towns .It is the National Leading County of basement producing non-pollution vegetable,National Leading County in Ecology, Technology and Culture.
　Certuries/Centuries-old history: Liyangxian was set up in the Qin Dynasty and then changed into to Hezhou because that/because that Liang of South Dynasty and Qi of North Dynasty had negotiated peace here in 555. Until the Revolution of 1911/Not until the Revolution of 1911 (the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution led by Sun Yat-Sen which overthrew the Qing Dynasty), the name Hezhou was changed into Hexian. An intac/intact skull fossil was excavated in late 1970's/in the late 1970's in Hexian. The skull fossil was 300 to 400/300- to 400- thous and/thousand years old and was named as “Hexian Ape Man”. The county seat is provincial-level historical town.
　Location prep onderance/preponderance: Hexian is separated by the Yangtze River from Nanjing, Ma'anshan and Wuhu. They are connected by Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge and Ma'anshan Yangtze River Bridge which is under construction.
